It is the third national Action Mesothelioma Day today, Wednesday 27th February 2008. The day will be marked throughout the United Kingdom by rallies, balloon releases, conferences and other public events to raise awareness of the asbestos epidemic which is claiming thousands of lives every year. The significance of this day is reinforced by the UK’s prominence in the global index of mesothelioma deaths.
