Asbestosis is a chronic, incurable lung condition caused by prolonged exposure to asbestos:-
- It results in shortness of breath

The symptoms of asbestosis usually start many years after the initial exposure to asbestos - mostly 15-20 years after exposure, although it can take as long as 40 years.
